Clip boards are typically in abundance at thrift stores. I am not entirely sure why because I can find a hundred and one uses for them at home. I picked up some clip boards for this exact purpose while searching Pinterest for ways to organize notes and papers that needed to be easy to grab without just sticking them to the wall with tape. Not only are these great for note holders, but you can also make a clipboard on the wall for each person in your house for notes, chores, anything you'd like!
The instructions are below for how to create these colorful note holders.
The instructions are below for how to create these colorful note holders.
What you need:
- As many clip boards as you'd like to make, you can make one or ten depending on your needs.
- 1 Piece of scrapbook paper per board, any pattern, no need to get matching ones if you prefer mixed
- Modpodge (A small container will do)
- Paintbrush
- Cut your paper to the correct size, it may not fit perfect from the start depending on the size of the clip boards. You can also intentionally cut rounded, blobby, or angled edges, as well as add mixed papers to each similar to a collage.
- Adhere the paper to the board in the correct spot using modpodge as glue. Make sure to press down hard to be sure it adheres properly and stays flat.
- Complete the process by painting modpodge on top of the paper and entire clipboard (do not paint over the clip area.) If your boards clip goes over the paper, be sure to dry the area under it before allowing the clip to go back down. Let the board dry entirely.
- Hang your boards with as little as a tack and enjoy!
